In 1892, George Schrade patented a press button switchblade. From there, he embarked on a journey that would eventually lead to one of the most iconic knife brands ever. Schrade knives have seen the turn of the century twice, the Industrial Revolution, a great depression, two world wars, and a man on the moon. During all of this, knife companies have come and gone, but Schrade has held strong. George Schrade had his mind set on providing innovative and tough knives that served a purpose and Schrade Cutlery holds that same standard today.
