Demko Knives was founded by Andrew Demko, who first began forging chisels in 1988, when he was in seventh grade. It didn't take long for him to realize forging was his passion, and he began forging knives in his garage. Andrew's passion for engineering and attention to detail was noticed by knife manufacturer Cold Steel and he went on to engineer some of the most innovative, strongest locking mechanisms in the industry, including the legendary Tri-Ad Lock, the Scorpion Lock, and the Shark Lock. After the sale of Cold Steel, Andrew went on to grow his own business, Demko Knives, with his brother John.
