With the design of the Boker Plus Kihon DC, the American custom knifemaker Lucas Burnley embodies the idea of the Japanese Kihon. The term originally encompasses the fundamentals and basic techniques of Japanese martial arts, which Burnley realises down-to-earth in a solid everyday knife.
