For $11, it's great
This sheath-less machete sliced through tall grass and thin brush easily with the factory edge. It had a tougher time with thicker stuff like multiflora rosa, even after sharpening, as it is not really heavy enough. Reach is excellent and it is balanced well. It is nowhere near as effective as an Indonesian Parang. The handle rivets will eventually loosen up and that will be the end of it, but not before you get at least $11 worth of work out of it. If you need a machete for a one-off job, this will do the trick nicely. Remember there is no sheath.
