High Value to Performance
This machete is more than worth its modest price. Blade was sharp out of the box. I took after sage bushes along my fence line. Handled the .25-.50” branches easily. The grip is ergonomic but slippery as can be. Good traction gloves are required.

Having used Tramontina machetes for the last 25 years or so I can testify to their excellence. They are well balanced and the steel is perfectly tempered. My reason for replacing the several I have gone through over the years is simply that they were lost in the woods. They blend in to the ground litter, so I've started painting the portion of the blade nearest the handle red. I haven't lost one since. This is my first plastic-handled Tramontina machete, and I think this is a big improvement over the wooden-handled one. The wood handles crack and deteriorate over time, and this plastic handle seems to have solved that problem. This is an excellent machete!
