In 1852, Horace Smith and Daniel Baird Wesson made their dream of creating a repeating firearm, using a self contained cartridge a reality and made history. Over the next 169 years, Smith & Wesson perfected the American sidearm to become one of the world's most respected brand of firearms. With safety and security as the brand's focus, bringing knives into the picture was a great way to expand. Smith & Wesson offers a wide range of knives including pocket knives, hunting knives, tactical knives, rescue knives, and more.
Linerlock refers to the blade lock configuration. The handle, blade style, and size can vary greatly, but each linerlock pocket knife has one thing in common: a spring-lock incorporated into the liner and a release lever near the blade tang. It is a single blade knife.

Maintaining the tactical styling and solid feel of the M&P (Military & Police) Series, the Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard flipper knife features a 3.625 8Cr13MoV black tanto blade. 8Cr13MoV is a high-quality stainless steel similar in properties to AUS-8. This steel exhibits extreme toughness and excellent edge retaining capabilities. The blade can be deployed via the dual thumb studs or flipper tab, although the lack of a detent may require a light wrist flick in order to deploy the blade. The handles are made from aluminum with wood inserts and stainless steel liners. The M&P Bodyguard is a great value tactical flipper knife from Smith & Wesson. Made in Switzerland.
