I compared this ax to many others made in the US, which was my main criteria. I even watched all of Wranglerstar's videos on Boy's Axes. In the end it was a toss up between this and the Council Hudson Bay, both made in the USA. So I bought these instead and two Council Ship Carpenter's axes for Eagle Scout gifts. I am also now hooked on pioneering hand tools-My advice is not to skimp on tools that your great grandchildren will own, whether those tools are guns, tractors, saws or land.
