This or its brown cousin is the best quality/value I could find. When wearing the knife the snap holder is positioned so it will not catch and open on branches. The edge of your knife is only guided by leather rather something that will ruin the edge. For sizing use the entire metal part of the knife, its subject to the elements, not just the sharp part.

Leather quality and embellishment great for the price; needs leather softener out of the box & Beeswax Waterproofing. Belt-loop rivets could contact blade on some specimens. Need a wider-pocket version for wider blades. Leather retainer strap can be adjusted by lengthening slits. Good deal for right blade.

Several years ago I got what I thought was a crappy knife with a cheap sheath. Low and behold, after sharpening, the knife turned out to be pretty good...but that sheath had developed a tear. This sheath works just great, my blade is notched so the strap fits around it. Not understanding how to measure a sheath to match a knife (only the sharp edge of the knife needs to fit *inside* the sheath), I could have bought it an inch shorter. An inexpensive but well made leather replacement.
