This pocket knife is excellent in appearance and function. The bone handle, brass bolsters and stainless blades appear excellent. I selected this type o f knife with the Marlin spike because I work with horses and their ropes which become tight knots from time to time and this sailor's knife is just the right tool for those situations. The Marlin spike locks and the lanyard ring is the release lever. The knife also fits standard sheaths for medium sized folding knives like the Busk 110 folder which is an additional benefit. I carry this knife along with my other outdoor tools. Finally, it is so good looking that I am proud to show it off.
