Myerchin 1st generation rigging knives without question are the best seagoing knives on the market.The problem now is that there 2nd generation knives are now assembled in China where as before they were assembled in Japan.My advice after many trips to China aboard large container vessels is to stay away from products manufactured in China.The quality of their work is way below industry standards and un-safe for practicle use.

great gift

This is a beautiful, well made knife that my husband was happy to gift to his son, a new sailor. Great customer service as well, very courteous and professional through the process of an exchange when we accidentally bought the wrong item the first time.
