MI159 Knifemaking Kit

MI159 knife making folder with file-work on the spring and highly polished blade. This isn't a small blade, more medium to medium large in hand, feels real nice. The description doesn't say so, but this knife has some stamped (so-called) file-work on the back spring, and it looks good! It looks like the scarab back on another blade I have. NICE With this kit and this assembly I didn't use the manufacturers handle scales, opting instead for a pair of very dark brown walnut scales, available here. To keep the scales on the handles, I used copper pins, which offset well with the walnut handles. The end result of these stabilized scales is they look like a nice black composite handle at first glance, with the payoff being they're real wood. Nice trick! I'm real happy with this blade, it went together quick, with excellent results. Snappy action, mirror polished blade, gimping on the blade back and sharp as all get out! I'm putting these kits together for people who want a custom handle, pins, polish and action in an EDC folder. This knife should be able to bring around $40.00 maybe more. The new owner will be totally happy with their new knife, and it's gonna be simple to sharpen with just a stone and hone. I'll be purchasing more of these, because they'll be real popular as soon as my friends see 'em!
