DX1083L Denix M1851 Navy Revolver Replica

I didn't know what to expect with this as I've never held a replica or real version of a Civil War era revolver. This replica was a bit smaller than I expected but feels good to hold. The wood grips are comfortable and look nice. The brass and black metal portions aren't stellar but decent. The replica is sturdy and reasonably heavy. The ramrod functions, which I was pleasantly-surprised to find. I wasn't sure what the description specifically meant when they said simulated loading mechanism. The cylinder spins freely when the hammer is not cocked. This seems a little odd but for all I know, it's an accurate representation of the real thing. The hammer can be half-cocked, as well as fully cocked (very cool). The cylinder rotates and locks slightly into place when the hammer is half-/fully-cocked. Very satisfying hammer-pull sound and trigger-pull. I was very content with this purchase!
