G10 is a laminate composite made of fiberglass. It is made similarly to carbon fiber in that layers of fiberglass are set in resin, resulting in a strong, lightweight handle. It is typically patterned to create a texture offering a nice grip and comes in a variety of colors. G10 handles can be brittle under heavy impacts and has a tendency to have a more basic appearance compared to other knife handle choices.
A tactical knife is a knife that can be used outdoors similar to hunting knives and survival knives. What sets them apart is that they are designed with fighting and self-defense in mind. They typically come with a hand guard, comfortable grip, and a matte-coated blade.
