Mrs
I have been looking for a similar knife for years to replace my very old supermarket tomato/vegetable slicer. I came across this which is very close to my can poold one. Very good and can replace it. The only draw back for me is my fingers are long and arthritic and I find then handle a bit small - but otherwise, it slices very well. I may wrap the handle to enlarge it! The essence of the knife is the thin curve blade with very fine serrated edge! Worth a try!

Tomato knife
Good knife, performs as expected. Tip could be sharper and pointier, I like to cut the tomato core out like a cone before slicing and that is why I purchased this knife to replace one that was used for 60+ years.

Mrs.
This knife replaced a very old one that I had gotten from my mom—which she probably acquired in the 1970’s. The blade has separated from the handle but was just as sharp as ever. It devastated me to lose it. After scouring stores and the Internet, I found this one. It is the closest thing I could find to my other one. The blade is very sharp with the tiniest serrated teeth you can find. It has now replaced my favorite tomato slicing knife and I recommend it for slicing very thin tomato slices. I am not a fan of the wooden handle it has though. It is very dry, and I fear that it won’t take long for the handle to separate if I wash it in the dishwasher much. I think that a plastic handle would be better. The quality is the handle is the reason that I will give it 4 stars because there is room for design improvement. I am quite pleased with the blade and plan to condition the wood on the handle and hope that helps. I feel lucky to find a blade like this.

Tomato Knife
This is the best knife for slicing tomatoes. The blade is perfect for making thin slices as well as cutting them thicker. The only knife I use on tomatoes.
